John, I took the camera wherever we went, it lived on my lap with the 100-400 lens on [never took any with the 17-85], and took photosALL daylong. Granted, lighting is best at "the golden hour", but you're not guaranteed of seeing anything spectacular then, whereas the rest of the day CAN bring some good sightings with good shots. Also, the low light during early morning/late afternoonIS a problem, especially in shade.I have a pile of duds [of leopard and others] that are blurred, mainly due to my inexperience, of course.

Zol, I agree with kudu, typical pose, and even though it is not the typical bull with the horns [I do have a fewshots of him], somehow the expression on this little cow was "catching" - Thanks for commenting [How about putting that Kudu Bull of yours on ???]
