This Canadian Bald Eagle (Canadian because it failed to procure a passport and passed through Canadian Customs, no questions asked) is on a deserted island on the Trent Canal System (Upper Buckhorn Lake) waiting for an egg to hatch. Father is no where to be found.

Pics of the hatchling next.

Beautiful eagle shot! I envy anyone who can get close enough to capture the image of an eagle.
Thanks!

Hi Blue; thanks for the comment. After 41 views I was beginning to think that this pic was a common occurence to all the viewers.

The reason we were able to get so close I think, is because my soninlaw's boat has an electric motor, and we glided in with no noise, but we definitely were seen by the eagle. The other reason ismost likely her/him protecting the nest.

Your comments are most appreciated.

Hi mackcam,

Your nest shot with the eaglet is another good one that I was admiring. I think eagles are difficult enough to spot, let alone to get a good picture. They like to stay away from civilization.

Eagles are my very favorites of all the birds. They are beautiful!

Keep taking those great pics.

Hi again Blue; thanks again for your comments. It's nice to know that someone is willing to comment; good or bad. I'm just attempting to learn and am willing to listen to anyone's opinion or comments.

Thanks for taking the time.
