Sometimes you get more than you asked for, Dave - your White Balance dog might not be able to handle a groundhog of this size... :blah:

Mullen - real nice closeups of the groundhog. I see a structure in the background of the first shot - was he coming for handouts or what?

Thanks. The structure in the background is a bird feeder. He was eating some of the seed on that had fallen to the ground.

My White Balance Dog (patent pending) can handle anything organic. He once chased off a 300 lb Black Bear. My problems with him ("Don't chase the 'ducks'") go in the other direction :?:

(Notice that you've have infringed on my basic machismo. Why do you think I got this dog in the first place? While I still remain a wimp, no one any longer points that out to me)

Dave, you're too funny! :-)

OTOH, any dog (even a WB dog) that can chase off a 300lb black bear can make me eat my words - you're right, this groundhog is groundmeat before your dog...
