I went out specifically with the 200/1.8 and 1.4x extender to see what sorts of interesting blends and blurs that I could get from a combination of autumn, the chickadees, and the only lens that I personally would ever cry over . I used wide open aperture with 1.4x extender, giving me an F/2.5 that offered some nice artforms, in my personal opinion. I know of no other lens that can give me this kind of stuff:

Leaf...me alone

I can talk, honest

Sometimes I feel so darned alone...

Just plain fantastic norm, especially number 2 & 3. To me they are soooo good. And I have never got a good postworthy shot of a Chickadee yet.

Best regards

Houston

Houston, with the shots you have lately been posting, you don't need no chickadee...just keep on keepin on. I'm amazed, literally flaberghasted...at your improvement as a photographer. You should be so proud of your accomplishments, and if you are not, then get with the picture and give yourself a huge pat on the back. I am amazed at some of your most recent shots.

Stunning artformsNorm & 200/1.8 team!! So glad you don't have to cry anymore. Like I said, the many'outstanding' picsmust keep rolling in.

I love the li'l guy with his autumn leaf companion and no.4 with the orange hue in the background which brings him 'out'. But all beautifull shots!

Thanks kman, mullen, JWGB and Julie, I'm enjoying the birds and also simply feeding and watching them. I appreciate their willingness to get close.
