A Lilac Breasted Roller - His best side [front] is not in view, however, I think the sun in his face does the shot justice. I SO wanted to get in flight shots of this beautifulchap, but they were very scarce this year.

"Can I help that I look like this, I haven't had my morning coffee yet ??!!!"

An Arrow-Marked babbler looks freaked out, catching the first morning rays on his back.

One of THE messed up leopard shots, forgot to use my speedlite. I suppose I could work on it, clone the burnt sky-patches [does anyone have any good ideas on how to resolve the white sky-patches?]

We were close enough to hear the bones cracking as he munched on his impala meal.

I especially liked the two bird shots, number two with the glowing eyes is a mind bender. And of course if it's not a bird I don't have a clue, as my "beetle" picture proves. So that shot of the pussy cat gone bad, while it might be a great shot - I'm sorry - does it fly? Does it tweet? Does it sing in the morning? No.

Still great shots mind you , but...

At first when I looked at your pic #1 I decided it would be my choice for favorite and then I looked at #2........and 3..........and 4........and 5 and I never did get a favorite picked out.

Jake, great shots once again. How many more do you have.

You probably already know this method, but just in case. Create a new layer and fill it with 50% grey. Change the blend mode to soft light. You should see no change at all yet. With the brush, paint over the light areas with a black brush(Low opacity) and the shadows with a white brush. It won't take away the highlights, but they will be less distracting.

Thanks for looking and making the kind comments, Dave and Houston. As I said when I started posting these series, if you get bored, just shout, I might just hear you from this side.

Thanks for the info John, no, I'm not familiar with that method, and will give it a bash. As far as quantity of pics, quite a lot of various stuff, but I still have a lot of processing to do. I had to do a Matric farewell last week, so that took up a bit of my time, and of course there is WORK !!

DON'T FORGET YOUR MOTHER'S BIRTHDAY TODAY !!!!!!!
