A few pics from the past few days.

all photos 20D, 100-400L

Catbird
It was really a dark cloudy day and not much was going on, then this guy pop out of the
bushes
420EX flash, 1/250 sec, f/6.3, 360mm


chickadee
there were a bunch of these guys hopping around inside a bunch of pine trees.
this one hopped into a spot where I could shoot into the tree.
internal flash, 1/250sec, f/7.1, 365mm


downy woodpecker
This guy was hopping around inside a small tree when I spotted him.
1/160 sec, f/6.3, 365mm (no flash on this guy, natural light)

Great shots Woodmeister. I really like the Downy and sure would like to get one myself like that. I'm just not having good luck with them yet. Good job

I like the chickadee shot, though it seems to be a bit oversharpened.

Great shots, woodmeister, nice and sharp and loads of detail. Very nice backgrounds on the bottom two.
