From the end of August through Sept. every night we had these bats coming and drinking dry our hummingbird feeders. They have since continued on with their migration. It sure was something to see.

They are very quick up to the feeders and gone, so it took some practice to listen for the noise of the wings and snapping the picture. I had many pictures of the feeder with no bat

After we get done suing you for the size, and hopefully, you will have some cash left - Bats travel on silent wings....

Awesome shot, and I never would believe it! It's SOOOOOO nice to see these little miracles of nature - Much thanks indeed for this picture!

"Bats travel on silent wings...."

yes that is true...but as it was extremely 'quiet' out, you could here the 'beating' sound of them....I think maybe? because they had to 'hover' momentarily at the feeders...and yes, it was extremely exciting to be able to see them and capture them on film.....

I'll see if I have any others that are in a bigger size. that just happened to be one of the better shots.

These are all wonderful shots under incredibly difficult conditions. I really don't want to sound patronising - I'm impressed!!! I mean it!!

Thank you. I appreciate the comments. I just sat outside and waited....basically had my G2 ready to 'fire' and then would snap the picture as they came up to the feeders....camera was set on the automatic mode. I'm glad you enjoyed viewing them.
