Never really looked at the common sea gull before for his wingspan, can look quite impressive in flight

Now looking at these next two shots, you would not think he could look so good in flight

Good shots. In the last two, obviously he's been a dog in a past life. Scratchin' his chin, and lifting his leg (but minus the fire hydrant) Way to go...

Thanks Kenneth, quite cute sometimes these birds but at other times highly annoying:-)

All are quite nice!! The first one showing the wingspan is my favorite though, can't put my finger on it, it just really catches my eye!

nice shots of the bird in flight, but i find the last two amusing. looks like he's got fleas!

the common seagulls we have here in western Washington, even the common inland variety, have wingspans of up to 3 feet. their ocean-going cousins, especially some of the ones in Alaska, can easily span 5feet or more.

Very nice ones here Julie. I think I like number 3 the best. Probable because you've got the exposure on the white and black just about as good as could be. Good job.
