My first shot of a Spotted Towhee. A ray of sun broke through the gray overcast sky just as this guy landed in front of me.
Nikon d70s 80-400mm VR (400mm handheld 180/5.6 ISO 320 fill flash)

This is a hard bird to photograph. Around me there is a short window where they will sit up to sing, but most of the time they are down below the undergrowth and bushes.

This is a nice capture.
