Had the day off from work today (doesn't happen very often) and most of the 'honey do's) were caught up so I went out to the local park in search of whatever. These are a few of today's captures. As always comments are welcome and hope you guys enjoy them.

I put "4 pics" in the heading but I posted 6 pics. Couldn't figure out how to change that.

Hi Houston

Wonderful shots! And here's a backhand compliment:lol:

I find that the bright colors often wipe out the sensor, much as pure white does. You handled this perfectly on the woodpeckers! Although I have a thing for Hawks, so I'll go with the first Hawk shot as the best!

Thanks Dave and Jake. I was having the time of my life that day. I have some more from that day that I'll post shortly. Too many chores to do lately. I think I'll quit chores and start doing more photography. It would be a lot more fun, right.

Fantastic shots. I've never seen this type of woodpecker.
