I was out shooting ducks at a local national wildlife refuge when I got this one. It took awhile before they came close, but eventually a few did. Not the best light, and I'm not a fan of that gray sky. But how would the darker parts of the duck have looked against the darker blue sky? I don't know.

Either way, that reflection is something I rarely get... just wonderful. Even the reflection of the drop of water off the bill.

20D 600mm f4 (maybe 1.4TC?) tripod
Very little in post production. Some contrast and sharpening only.

Very nice eric. Looks as if it is swimming on a mirror.

What would you estimate the distance at?

Glad you two like the shot.
It was around.... 30 feet away, maybe a bit more. There was really nothing between me and him to judge distance with.

It's one of those shots, where you can post it upside down and we wouldn't know the difference...

Eric, great shot!!! The drop and it's reflection was one of the first things I noticed about the picture. The reflection is awesome!!!
