Nice shot Craig - not always easy to get the BIG yawn, they tend to do it when you're looking the other way - Was this at a zoo or in the wilds??

I hope while you are here you'll visit one of the reserves like the KNP

Hi Colin,

We were down at Kruger Park Lodge in Hazyview. Didn't want to get into the park proper too much because of malaria and an 18 month old daughter.

But Hazyview is low risk and we smothered her in insect repellant and she didn't get a single bite.

The lodge has a family of Hippos that roam fairly freely and a few crocs and duiker. So I got a few nice shots.

This one was on my last day and I was running out of space on my CF. But the light was lovely and they moved closer to the hide for a bit. They all seemed to start yawning at around 6pm - perhaps it's catching for hippos too. :-)
