ThisTitmouse finally stayed still so I could get some shots with the D50 and Tamron 70-300.

Caught this female Red-Bellied Woodpecker later in the day with the FZ20.

Slate-colored Junco (also called Dark-eyed). Taken with the FZ20 and TCON-14B. Some of these guys are coal black, and others have some brownish highlights. I think sex and age affect coloring.

Thank you both for the kind words. It's been cloudy and snowy here for several days, so I was glad to seesome sun on the day I could make it out to shoot.

You are correct about the juncos, the younger and females have the ligher colors. The adult males look like the one you have there.

I really like that red-bellied. Very nicely done. I've gotten them several times in trees, but not with nearly as good light as this one.
