Brown-headed Nuthatch

I don't do many feeder shots, but I've been trying to get this guy for 3 weeks.

Thanks guys!

Kent I use a 300mm f/4 with a 1.4x converter.

Houston, I live in Rome GA andlearned that the Brown-headed nuthatch is only found in the extreme southeast. Do you see many down in Sylvester?

In Photoshop, try lowering the saturation -10

You'll get out more detail where the bright color blew out the sensor...

Wonderful Shots!

Great shots, tons of detail. They really have the perfect DOF, What aperture setting(s) were you using?

Hi Ron. Yes we have lots of the little brown headed nuthatchs down here. I'll have to try capturing of them sometimes. Man, the weather down here is yucky.

Houston, I just saw where some bad storms went through your area. Hope all is well.
