I don't know what kind of duck this is but sure stood out from the others.

twisted, it looks like a black crested duck to me. If not, it still is a type of crested duck.

I am fairly sure that this fellow is the product of Mallard and who knows what else.* Mallards tend to mix and match mates without much concern.* The head and bill color along with the tipical curly tail feather strongly suggest that there was a Mallard in the wood pile.* Still, it's a fine shot. The reflection is nice too.* The funky top knot reminds me of a Shaolin (I think) Monk[img]/forums/images/emoticons/wink.gif[/img]

I believe crested ducks are mallards with a crested gene that is "activated" during a bad incubation. Here is a balck crested duck that looks similar to twisted's.
