This first shot has a rather halluncinatory quality. I have a hard time with this bird, but the light off the feathers is sometimes worth the wait.

I also like #1 as it has an eerie feel to it with the dark bird, reaching branches and diffused backdrop.- Kent

Yeah, before I gave up drugs for photography, I would have called this a "Flashback."
