Took this yesterday. I caught him right after he took off. I was lucky I guess. I haven't had much luck before shooting anything flying......cheers.....thekman.

Nice capture! Great detail and stop action. Not an easy task in the wild as these ducks dont let you get to close.

it almost looks liek photoshop, he stands out A LOT against the background

Thanks Dave, Kent and Jak. I thought when I first looked at it, that it did look photoshopped. Well it was a bit, but not a lot. I cropped and leveled a little for more contrast, and a very small amount of usm. But that was all. This new lens I bought seems to be very sharp if you can get the focus correct....cheers......thekman

Thanks Steve. I was around 25 feet away I think. Not real sure though. The lens is a pentax 50-200DA mounted on the pentax istDS........cheers.....thekman.
