I went for a walk in the mountains today and came across three different types of chickadees. Lots of kinglets, nuthatches and a dipper as well.

Beautiful shots, Jim. We only have the Carolina Chickadee down here in NC. They make sure you know when they arrive. That would be a heck of a shot if they all got together. Woody

Thanks everyone. My Peterson Field Guide (Western Birds) shows three more types of chickadees found in North America- the Chestnut-backed, Gray-headed and Mexican. If you have pictures of them please add them to this posting. If you live on the east coast, maybe we can get a Carolina chickadee from you. It would be nice to see all of them together!
