Default 10D Album Expanded

I added the 100-400mm IS L to my 28-135 on Friday, and on Sunday, I slipped away to the zoo for a couple of hours. When (if) I learn how to optimize what I have, I believe that this will be a wonderful system that should be adequate to carry me into the sunset years. Here is a link to the album, and a sample:

Fine shot Ward - maybe a little lack of details. Did you shoot raw ? Looks like .Jpeg...little soft (like my D100s jpeg).

Klaus - you guessed it. I shot it in JPG. I haven't even loaded my Canon software yet, and I haven't a clue as to how to manage a RAW file. I stand at the base of the learning curve.

Ward - I can recommend learning about the RAW files. It's not that difficult, but unfortun. very timeconsuming editing them. You will see a lot of difference in you shots. The dynamic increases a lot.

I understand from a person who takes a lot of wildlife photographs that apes are very dificult subjects to catch - well done !

Thanks, Graham. I had a number of ape photos taken that day that were technically superior to this one, but I chose this one because of the "Pose". It looked to me as if it could be a variation of "The Thinker".
