Great shot! We attend SeaWorld Orlando about twice a month and love it. We hope to visit San Diego next year. Was it your first visit? Your timing was great.

I was there about 6 weeks ago, but didn't get a chance to see the Shamu (why did I type Shamoo in the title?!?!) show. I also didn't take my S2 IS with me the first time. I got some nice shots (E550), but without the zoom of the S2. I have a season pass, so I might be going a couple more times this year This shot was taken on my second visit this year.

The timing on this one just happened to be right. I had the shutter half depressed with the focus locked, but I had no idea where the whale was going to jump out. As you can see I was a bit zoomed in, so I needed to be right on. When I saw him jump out, I had to adjust the camera to center and I just got lucky that it was centered nearly perfect.

Also, I didn't really do any post processing on this image. I resized it and sharpened it a bit, but that was it!

I have many other pics of Shamu, but I feel this one is the best. Most of the others were zoomed out more or I didn't really catch him at the right time.

btw, this is Sea World, San Diego.
