These first two are of a Mallard who inconsiderately kept his head in the shade...

The Wigins are Gone, until the fall....

The Brandts, who travel way up to the far North in the Arctic, don't leave until the end of May. Go figure.

This fine young lady below, A Red Breasted Merganser is probably thinking about leaving soon. Although I didn't see hubby, and now is the time when they pair off...

I like that first merganser pic.

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"FYI...Wigin is spelled Widgeon. I'm into ducks and it just hurt to see it spelled that way.:-)

I hear you. And I keep forgetting the spelling. Do the same thing with pigins too.....(whoops, pigeons)

But here's the real horror of your post....

The correct spelling is: "Wigeon."....

oh my god, you are sooo correct! I was looking at some of my archived pictures and came across "Wigeon" and immediately thought "OOPS"!!! I was hoping I could correct myself before you or anybody else saw MY typo. Guess we have something in common bud. :?:?

I've made worse, but point blank refuse to admit that white domestic geese are not Snow Geese. I almost DIED!

Still, this one was a good one, and you truly helped to restore my ego. After all, I did spell it wrong, but this way I come out smelling like roses...:blah:
