caught this cormorant taking to the air with a recent catch... i suspect the fish weighed more than the bird thought - he never did really get airborne! after about 20 yards of trying, he gave up and settled back into the water to enjoy his meal. shot with a 30D and Sigma EX 80-400 at 400mm, 1/800 @ f8, ISO 400.

You caught that one just right. It might already have a belly full of those fish and the added weight might have keptit down:-)
