yeah, it has internal image stabilization. by all accounts, it's optically on a par with the Canon "L" glass, but it doesn't use the ultrasonic ring-type focus motors, so it'sa teensy bit slowerto focus, and a bit noisier. whoop-dee-do! i like it just fine! :G
