This is a Dickcissel - a cousin to the sparrow. the 2 yellow head stripes, the redish wing patch, and the black bib are the telltale signs.

Good one! I had already written that this was a White Throated Sparrow, went to preview and noticed your post. Saved me some embarrasment....

Yeah, I was trying to make it a white-throated-sparrow too, but they only have the yellow in the inside corner of their eyes. (they're my favorite, by the way, with their low subtle song),

Your sparrow looks a lot like a Vesper sparrow that I see around here in the summer. Nice shots.
