Yes both robins are very different in size etc, the full name for the robin is "Erithacus Rubecula".

Hi, yes this nest was in the next door neighbours ivy shrub, approx 5 feet from the ground, last years nest was in a small round wicker hanging bird box made for finches but they successfully had 5 healthy chicks in there, and the one before that (they had 2 clutches last year) was in an old plastic bowl, on its side, in my shed and they had a successful batch of 4 chicks in there. so yes they do make very interesting studies.
