Hi You wildlife lot

Just got back from the Bahamas, We had a day out to a place called Harbor Island

and I saw this little fellow on aboat that was up on the beach. I managed to get two shots (this this the better of the two) but i don't know what it is:?. We don't get these birds in England ( well I've never seen oneon the streets of London:lol

can anybody tell me what sort of bird it is?

Looks like a member or relative of the heron family. Nice shot!

Looks like it could be a Green Heron or a closely related cousin.:lol:

I think it is a green heron, but could be wrong?

If it is we have had them a couple of times in the UK including a very well watched bird in wales this winter (but they are an extremely rare bird this side of the atlantic).

Try http://www.birdforum.net there will be someone there who can confirm that it is a green heron or not.

Here is another photo you can help me with,

I've been told it's a Mocking bird!!

we left our clothes at the top of the beachwent swimming and when we came back

Ifound this guy sitting on our clothes giving me attitude

Possibly bahaman mocking bird, but not 100% sure, not to up on american (north, south or central) birds.
