Just wanted to say hello to the forum by posting a fewbirds found only in our islands.

1. Spotted Wood-kingfisher, Actenoides lindsayi (female), 20D + 500 f4, 1/20 sec, ISO 800, f/4, manual exposure





2. Indigo-banded Kingfisher, Alcedo cyanopecta (male), 350D + Sigmonster (Sigma 300-800 DG), 800 mm, 0.5 sec, ISO 200, f/10, manual expsoure, using MLU





3. Luzon Hornbill, Penelopides manillae (male), 350D + Sigmonster (Sigma 300-800 DG) + Sigma 2x TC, 1600 mm, 1/100 sec, ISO 400, f/18, manual expsoure, 90 meters distance

what wonderful birdshots! whilst looking through your pbase homepage... i must say your equipment is quute expensive for doing this as a hobby... having close to (with my calculations) ~$25,000+ in to this... but apparently the money youve sunk into this payed (no pun intended) off... gorgeous shots... and like said before.... im quite jealous!:blah:... keep clicking away!

The detail in your shots are superb. N0.2 Indigo Kingfisher is tops. Keep posting liquidstone.

Wow magnific picturesThese are the sharpest bird picture that I saw:-)
