These shots, taken last week all strike me as odd...

This Mallard, reluctantly left the shore to avoid me...

This Raven, minding his own buisness, landed, and THEN spotted me. A brief moment of "confrontation"

An honest hard working Pidgin, unlike the free loaders in the nearby streets.

A Snowy Egret pauses for contemplation.

A Ruddy Turnstone debates whether it's time to fly, or am I a harmless idiot?

This Yellow Warbler couldn't resist taking a better look at me. Shot from a great distance...

Lets try pigeon brother... by the way I like how you presented that series with the oddities you described. Keep up the good work and I'll forward my spell check to you bud.

Odd indeed!! I bet some callous human fed that Mallard low sodium baked cheetos instead of the real thing. .. People can be very cruel.

By the way, these are excellent shots! especially the ruddy turnstone!

Ahh, these Mallards aren't aware of the bread routine. They actually think their wild...

As for the shots, my favorite by far is the Raven....

Maybe it's one of those, "you had to be there situations?"

And the pudgin is one I always like, just because I like to see someone earn their living the "old fashinoned way."

Of course some Al Qaeda supporters on the board always make fun of my spelling - But look what happens to them? :flame:

All I have to do is Bide my Time - They KNOW who they are!

Ouch, Dave hit me with AK 47 to the mid section or to my pudgin area. C'mon now, Al Qaeda kinda hurt my feelings a bit. You know I'm just playin' with you right? :-)

Pudgin: A Cross between a Pigeon and a Puffin. Very rare. One confirmed sighting by a naturalist in Brooklyn New York. Other sightings were found to be drug and alcohol induced...

Top stuff Dave. I love some of the looks and poses birds can dish up. Nice shot of the yellow warbler. I appreciate the work involved trying to get a shot of these little fellows. Very hard as they only seem to sit for more than a second or two. Well done.....Don.

I'm not allowed to post a translation of what he was really saying. :G

He landed in this marine pond at low tide, looking forward to some easy pickings. Made himelf comfortable, and then turned and spotted me. He paused in the above position. There was a confrontation. All things considered, I love this image.
