Shot this fellow at the local zoo yesterday It's a great place to get some practice and shoot critters you won't find in the wild (locally of course)They are truly interesting birds.

I think it's a wedding band as it's mate has an identical one

The second one makes me laugh. It looks like some kind of tophatted gentleman-type character!

A Magnificent bird, Kennj - We do see them on rare occasions, although I have not been close enough to get a decent shot - this shot was taken about a year back when a group of them surprised me in a flyby, which I only saw after they had passed [hope you don't mind me including this shot, I don't normally like to post on someone elses post, however, just for interest sake I thought you would not mind]

Not in the least. Wonderfull to see them flying by in the free world unencumbered by being displaced.
Thanks for the follow up. I am lucky to have so many animal species around where I live but always get a kick out of the ones we don't get to see in our area of the world.
