These images were shot on two successive days just as the sun peaked over the horizon. It was DARK, but at the same time, I was shooting into the "sun."

I love em!

These first three are of a Snowy Egret hunting in this half light. While from first to last, only a few minutes had passed, you can almost feel the sun rising...

These next three images are a sequence of a Little Blue Heron making a catch in this light. While both these images and the above were shot at the exact same time, the light is profoundly doifferent, because of the "different" cloud cover of the two dawns. Shows why I like dawn better than any other time.

You're just going to have to bite the bullit and compress them a bit more... :-)

It's true they look better without that extra compression. Life sucks...

Silhouettes have a certain appeal.....nice ones Dave. Recently I hadopportunity at the Snowy.
