Took a few pics with my new cam (FZ30) down the pun the other day... I'm a complete noob just enjoying filling up SD cards and working out how things work at the moment!


This was at full zoom, handheld btw.


The sort of shot I was trying for, closest I got



Ducks!







I need to get myself Neat Image or something to deal with the noise.

And you did a great job!

Noise is not much of an issue, or at least I can't see much...

Some of the images have the highlight blown - but some don't, always a diffficult aspect of shooting black or white (or worse, mixed) birds. But you have wonderful colors, and reflections!!!!

The Canada Goose looks like a different sub-species than the ones I often see around here...

Cheers for the comments, I'm looking into buying a lens filter etc. I'm just trying to work out what it best!

There are a few more to come once I have time to resize them
