We just got back from a camping/kayaking trip out West. This photo was taken from a kayak in Lake Jackson - there were 6 kayaks in our group.
The problem is which lens to use - standard zoom or tele zoom. I didn't feel comfortable changing lenses while in the kayak, so I spent most of the time using the 24-70. That's what I was using when these deer came down for a drink. There were at least 5 of them - there may have been more, but I didn't see them. After checking us out briefly, they decided to leave...
