Fantastic Jake!! Love them all.... that sepia tone definitely contributes to the mood portrayed in these shots.

I like the sepia effect but did you use this to hide defects - no offence. I find the first one and the 4th quite interesting.

Are you shooting in a real reserve, wildlife or a zoo. I realise you're in SA but I got to ask.
No offense taken - No, I was quite happy with the originals, then after experimenting with the action mentioned above,I decided to keep the effect.

SA has very little wildlife left that is not in a reserve. These were taken in the Kruger National Park, a game reserve of some 20,000sq km's.

Thanks for comments all !!

Jake, once again, these shots are incredible!!! My question is... have you been storing these up for a while & just getting around to posting these ?? Please, don't take this the wrong way! I understand that these are from a National Park, but this is a few days now that you've been posting these exceptionally high quality shots. Are you on holiday at the Park or work there or live nearby or ...??? Please try to understand, if I had just the opportunity to SEE these sights (much less be able to shoot these shots) in less than a week, I could just cease to exist because life probably wouldn't get much better! :GPlease keep them coming ... I (like so many others I'm sure) have come to look forward to see them everyday or so!

Thanks again!

Ron

Thanks wadue - My wife and I spent 18 days in the KNP, from the 04:08 - 21:08 -It takes a while to process the pics [and get my business back into perspective]

So I have been posting as I have been processing :-)

Ahh ... the truth comes out.:GSorry to be so nosey... but I had to know. Looks like you had a wonderful vacation! Hope you were able to find time to relax along with all your photographic moments. These posts have just been incredible ... I realize that these animals maybe a short trip away for you but for most of us ... it is like opening an issue of NG. Thanks so much ... hope you have more to follow yet! BTW, great job with processing, also!!! That midnight sepia really added the right touch!!!

Welcome back to reality:sad:
