I want to make this look old and rustic, apart from going sepia I dont know where to start. Maybe a old map pirate look or an aged newspaper look, I dont know. It is a whale chaser from the days when our town was a whaling town (the last whale town in Australia that closed in 1977) and I'd like to get some Ideas to make it into a gift for an old timer.

Interesting picture to start with. Tried a couple effects with this. The first is using the Virtual Photographer plugin- setting Old Newspaper, with the effects turned down just a bit.

Got this with Photoimpact. Converted to monochrome, added some grain, and used duotone effect.

Ror something really old looking, I used the halftone effect. My older Photoimpact used to be able to do true half-tones, but that is no longer availabe, Maybe I'll have to reinstall v4.2
