Foggy zen photograph

Bynx, you are adept at giving constructive criticism can you suggest how to shoot in pea soup? I was not going for focus, rather a zen moment. This looks good as my screen saver, rather relaxing with no business going on, can you CC for me or show me how you would perhaps do it different? Thanks my friend......Frank

It seems to me that not much can, or needs to be done, other than a bit of tweaking of exposure. I used highlight/midtone/shadow adjustments to bring out a bit more of the contrast between water and sky. This showed up some banding in the lighter areas, though. Some gaussian blur helped, but didn't eliminate it.

Yes Brian I noticed the banding when I tried to do some PP myself so I thought I would leave it alone and ask you guys. Thanks for your time, effort, and adjustment. I certainly appreciate your efforts. Frank

I like the pic, hk. Love the negative space/minimalism.

My take on the photo

I agree that there is not much to do with the photo on adjustments. but I thought I would give it a try. What do you think?

The sun making it's way through the fog...like the new day....or a light after the darkness of a tragedy.

Just a highlight.....

Wow guys These changes are inspiring. Mborbich, I would never have thought of adding some sun......very interesting touch!

Dana, that sure did clear up the concrete thingie very nice effort!

Brad, Thank you for noticing the effort to create minimalization. You have understood the exposure perfectly!

Thanks everyone again for looking and adding to the insight. Frank

I like the original shot. Eerie feeling. I expect Charlie Chan to pop up with #1 son and solve the case of the floating corpse.

Thank you Bynx, Old Charlie hasn't poped up yet, I think it is a record for breath holding. :)
