Hello,

I am hoping to get some input on what I am doing. The first picture is a 300dpi scan of a very poorly handled negative. The second is after I did some enhancement and touch up work. I am open to any suggestions on anything else I could do to make this picture look better.

Thanks

I would say the only real problem here is the lack of color information, and it is only a problem if you need color. Monochrome works fine with this picture, and makes things easy. I tried it out with Image Analyzer, just for the experience of working with something other than Photoimpact or Adobe. A little cloning to remove the dust spots,a touch of noise reduction, and some sharpening/deblurring.

I took Brian's conversion and put a little colour in her cheeks.

Excuse the choice of colours, i'm crap when it comes to 'colouring in'. Hence the need for [url=http://www.blackmagic-color.com/]BlackMagic-Color[/url.

There is a trial version available.
