Firstly a note for the gaffers of this forum, this is my third attempt at writing this post due to 1. incorrect size file (it was 248k and rejected) - 2 wrong file type (it was BMP) - 3. and this time, is there no way one can keep the text written in this boxwhen it gives the error, just a thought gaffa.

OK, you clever lot, back to my photograph, this is about 57 yrs old, my Mum is on the left kneeling down, she was 11 yrs old, the baby is my older cousin, and the other Lady is my Aunt.

I would appreciate it if you could use your skills to invert it, and freshen it up please (NO DISTORTION )

also could you make it colour (color), use your imagination please i know you can do it.

that thing with wheels on is a pram, yes a pram, I had to laugh....

thanks guys and gals

This is pretty low res. Is it possible to get a higher resolution scan?

Hey theproff,

I am not at my home pc, so I only had MS Paint to work with. So I only inverted the color and resized it up a little, no clone or sharpening tools available.

I haven't tried colorizing photos much in the past, but here's my attempt. If you provide a higher res scan, I could reapply most of this to the new image and you'll have a sharper photo.

Oh, and I have no idea what a pram is, so I didn't colorize it. Don't know if that matters.

Here's a quick splash at it. Have you a high rez file of this?

Nice work, thanks, a pram is a type of vehicle you put a baby / toddler in and push around. A Pushchair.

If all you chaps would like to hang around I will try and get a better resolution scan of this photo.

Here is a better scan, Mum has all the good stuff.

Corpsy Dec 24, 2005 9:58 AM

That's not really higher resolution. It may be bigger and use more pixels, but it doesn't have any more detail. In fact, it looks like it has less detail. It appears to be a scan of a printout of the small image you originally posted.

I can't really do anything to improve the image based on your new scan, but perhaps the color fix I already provided will be good enough for your use.
