Hi, Thanks to all who helped with the red eye earlier. Now I would like to add a single red teardrop falling from the red of the eye. All help appreciated. Thanks.

To get the tear from the red of the eye I close the eye a little more for realism as it needs to come from the lower lid (of course it would come nearer the duct really by the nose but this works for art :)

or a bit deep with a littlemore translucent look.

I think it looks disturbingly like blood.

Plus, a more realistic look would be for the teardrop to be coming from the very inside corner of the eye. That is where the tear ducts are, and one single drop would look much more realistic coming from there. Try it.

I agree with the "blood" look. I suppose it's a matter of what story you are trying to tell with this photo.

The placement of the tear drop could be at either the inside OR the outside edge of the eye. I depends on how the head is tilted. In this case, I vote for the outside because it looks like the head is tilted a bit to that side.

Reminds me of an old song "I've got tears, in my ears, 'cause I'm lying in my bed on my back, crying over you....."

meh... not too good... but i got busy after about 2 minutes of working on it.

i was constantly annoyed by the fact i was making a tear that didn't originate from the tear duct :)

Personally, I think it is the very fact that cock3tail requested the teardrop to come from the red of the eye and in red, to match the eye, that makes it look as false as it does.

Nothing wrong in the request, just makes it difficult to producea realisticlook.

Now, if the teardrop was a natural colour, ie, transparent, with no colour, and in the corner, as creeduk pointed out already, it would be realistic.

For the purpose requested though, it looks pretty damn good ;)

Thanks Steve :-)I am glad some one else read the request and my comments :G
