well...i went to the park...i liked the lily pads, with the bridge in the distance....but i don't like the picture...i don't know wat needs to be changed...but i wasn't amazed with this shot..lol

do wat you want with it...maybe you guys could find something to make it better, or ideas in the shooting process to make it better...

well thanks

Vito

lol...good thing i'm a mod, lol, i didn't proofread my title, and i forgot "me" in it...lol

btw...i noticed this as i was posting it....the horizon looks like it could be TERRIBLY off...but then the tree in the background looks straight....but the one to the left in the middle ground looks like it's leaning...i can't see the horizon itself...so i have no idea if it's level (need to get a tripod with a level i guess...lol

I think I see the problem. It's too green but pale at the same time. Although it's a nice place to sit and relax, it's a bit to "samey" for a photograph.

It's not what you to wanted, but I had a quick play. I'll do a serious one if I can. I had a quick go but didn't do a good job.

Yes, it's from your image. http://mindscraps.com/s/otn/happy/icon12.gif

Ok, here's the "serious" edit. I edit the contrast and brightness, enhanced the colours, burnt the reflection in the water a fair bit, burnt the sky a little less and then burnt the background a tad. Erm, then I noticed that I had the density of the burn tool set to 42%. Oops. http://www.stevesforums.com/forums/i...ticons/doh.gif

I've had to compress it a tad to keep it below 250k.

And this is my take on a water colour version. psp8 hasn't got a filter for some reason. I've got a brush strokes one but can never get a good image. I used "edge preserving smooth" set to 15 and then eroded the edged. The opacity of the layer was set to 66%.

I think I'll stop now.

no need to stop...

you got three good interpretations...

i think you burned the reflection a little too much...because you can see the effects of the burning (kinda a noise-like look)

that star thing is awesome! i'm amazed you got that from my picture...

i like the watercolor one the best i think..

thanks for taking the time to play!

it's well appreciated!

Vito

btw....i think i've figured out a way to get this shot...without the annoying white sky...i haven't gotten over there to try it yet though...(mainly cuz i'd have to walk, and slide under the fence at 5:00 in the morning...lol)

I really like the original. I like the skewed perspective. I try to look at things different ways. But I'm gonna take a shot at this one too.

Abby :-)and wes are right. I like the skewed perspective also, and I can't wait to see what ferny's done with it - but I will have to - until I get to work and take a peek on a computer that's not wading through the sludge of the internet on a tiny little phone line.
