I personally believe this photo is bland, I like it but the colors have not come out as I expected, any suggestions?

It seems that the rocks are a bit too centered in the frrame, and the colors look faded. I cropped it a bit, and boosted the saturation. This really seems to me to be all it needs.

I think this is awesome! Beautifully composed!! The only thing I would do is level it a tad. I wish most of my shots were this bland.

I liked it better as a B&W with a slight crop

Nice colour boost and black and white guys.

Levels and saturation, same as Brian, but I prefer the crop as it is, just reduced the image size to see it all in one go.

You might try TLR's Digital Velvia actions (see http://www.thelightsrightstudio.com/photoshop-tools.htm). I've just started using it, but it seems great for automatically boosting colors.

I would probably replace the sky. I keep a stock of skies just for that and can usually find one that works. I have the sky a little overprocessed to the point it is getting blotchy and it still isn't too good. I could smooth it out, but there isn't much more there in the sky.

Your cropping is fine to my eye. Nice shot. I also downsized it a little.

I tried the digital Velvia level 2 of 5 and found it to look artificial. Digital Velvia works for a lot of images though.
