Some Wine bottles I was playing around with while working on some new (for me) cameratechniques. As my computer room looks like a Italy wine cellar, it just seem (at the time) like a good idea to add a new picture to one of the blank walls in the room. Anyway here is what I came up with a composite of two photos one over exposed and one under exposed layered. Then ran through PSPX to get the final picture.

I can't believe 135 views and no one has a comment or suggestion. C'mon folks, somebody must have something to say about the picture.

Calicajun, I like the first one better. I can see that hanging on someone's wall, but not the photographically accurate rendition.

This is just my taste, but the composition looks kind of artificial, if you get my drift. There are even numbers of elements arranged in a mirror symmetry. I like asymmetric displays usually involving odd numers of elements arranged in such a way that the masses balance one another. The type of arrangement you have looks to me that someone tried to do it rather than that it just happened that way and someone took a picture of it because they recognized the inherent aesthetics.

If you are primarily soliciting comments about posted pictures, you might have better luck in the "Critiques and Techniques" section. This section is mostly for asking other people to change your pic in some way.

Thanks for posting....And keep on posting! New posts keep the site alive.

Thanks for the comments, I do agree that the still life looks too still. I must have set that up while watching Monk on TV.

I just found this area of the forum. I really like your painting. Great colors and textures.

I like your conversion cali. It would make a great cover for a wine list in a restaurant.

Thanks, was the first attempt at painting and using layering two shot together in order to make one. Composition needs some work, looks a to balanced, lol.
